Puzzling Adventures are a cross between a scavenger hunt, an adventure race, and an informative self-guided walking tour. Each adventure consists of a series of locations that you are guided to where you are required to answer a question or solve a puzzle to receive your next instruction. Compete as a group, individually or create multiple teams and race each other. Almost all of our adventures are designed to be wheelchair and stroller friendly and all are carefully crafted to be entertaining and informative with something to appeal to all ages. Complete the adventure as quickly as possible to win first place or take your time and enjoy the journey. Price is per team, not per person. Groups can be any size, but small groups are recommended for the best experience.

Recent photographs and artist books that fall within the sweep of a DOMESTIC RADIUS—a physical and emotional space encircling the artist’s heart and home. Subject matter embraces a discarded bicycle, over-abundant azalea blossoms, and a missing sock, all with elegiac undertones. Burnt Sugar The Arkestra Chamber, founded by Greg Tate, is a sprawling ensemble of NYC-area musicians whose prodigious chops and adherence to Butch Morris's Conduction system allow them to open the AstroBlack stargates to a darkly energetic, many-splendored celestial realm of cosmic riddim, esoteric rambunctiousness, and eclectic blue cheer!

In 2025, Burnt Sugar The Arkestra Chamber celebrates twenty-six years of “never playing anything the same way once.” As always, BSAC pays tribute to their sonic Sensei, Maestro Lawrence Butch Morris (1947–2013), for showing them "THE WAY" of Conducted Improvisation, and to their founder and co-leader, Gregory Stephen Ionman Tate (1957–2021), for creating the caramelized spaceship that grants BSAC access to a vast, darkly energetic cosmic realm of noise and riddim.

Now in their twenty-sixth year, BSAC is led by Jared Michael Nickerson, the electric bubble bassist, business manager, and co-leader since the group's inception.

As Greg Tate used to say, BSAC is "a territory band, a neo-tribal thang, a community hang, a society music guild aspiring to the condition of all that is molten, glacial, racial, spatial, oceanic, mythic, antiphonal, and telepathic."

The Bandwagon Summer Series is a family-friendly outdoor cultural performance series running from May through September. Performances including a diverse group of musical styles will take place at ballfields, farms, and parks throughout Putney, Brattleboro, and Bellows Falls. Kids under 12 always get in for free, and a dedicated play area will be available at all shows. Refreshments are sold onsite, including the return of the hugely popular Barr Hill cocktails, and food from Smokin' Bowls. Bring a picnic and a blanket or fold-up chair to enjoy our concerts.

Developing emotional resilience through deep listening and presence

This workshop will explore mindfulness and music’s ability to directly effect the nervous system. All levels of meditation experience are welcome. No experience necessary.

We will start by exploring the foundations of mindfulness and the nervous system's response to stress. We will practice mindfulness meditation from the Buddhist tradition, with live improvised violin, and vocal music from 14th 14th-century Sufi Qawwali. We will cycle through periods of live musical performance, meditation, and reflection, with deep listening and mindfulness as the anchor.

We encourage you to bring your comfy clothes and any cushions, blankets, or mats that will help you feel comfortable. Participants will leave this workshop with concrete tools for using mindfulness and deep listening in everyday life, including intense moments of stress.

The Norman Rockwell Museum is honored to present a rare series of early twentieth century lighting ments by Norman Rockwell and fellow Golden Age illustrators Maxfield Parrish, N.C. Wyeth, Dean Cornwell, Stanley Arthurs, Worth Brehm, and Charles Chambers created for Edison Mazda Lamps, a division of the General Electric Company. These luminous, richly painted works were widely circulated in published ments through the 1920s and are on loan to the Museum for the first time through the generosity of GE Aerospace.

Norman Rockwell: Illustrating Humor highlights selections from Rockwell’s most amusing artworks drawn from the Museum’s permanent collection.

Norman Rockwell: Illustrating Humor runs concurrently with What, Me Worry? The Art and Humor of MAD Magazine, this summer’s landmark exhibition of original art from one of America’s oldest humor publications. These thematically linked exhibitions juxtapose and illuminate two strikingly different veins of American humor, from the gently comical to the outrageously satirical. The underlying unity, however, is apparent in the brilliance of the illustrations and the successful intent to prompt viewers’ laughter and, perhaps, invite rueful self-recognition.

William Baczek Fine Arts in Northampton, Massachusetts is proud to announce a three-person exhibition of oil paintings by three masters of realist art. Julie Beck, Larry Preston, and Scott Prior all explore various subjects and themes in their oil paintings that are at once astonishing for their technical excellence, as well as their diverse methods for the examination of the physical world in paint. The exhibition will be on display from Wednesday, April 23 to Saturday, June 14, 2025. The public is invited to an opening reception on Saturday, April 26 from 4 – 6 p.m.
